Great weekend, happy jazzfest!

Thanks to everyone who helped Groovesect have such a good first weekend of Jazzfest. On Saturday night we played with Fred Wesley, Leo Nocentelli, and the Dirty Dozen Horns at Tipitina's and it was awesome! Great crowd and everyone on stage had a really fun time. We look forward to getting to play with all the guests again in the future!

Then Sunday night we did the late set at the Maple Leaf with Papa Mali. It was also a ton of fun, we locked right in with Papa Mali and the crowd was rolling with us til the sun came up!

Then last night, monday, we played at Blue Nile with Topaz sitting in, along with his guitarist John Branch, and the Dirty Dozen horns again. It was also an amazing show and we didn't want to end but had to make way for Skerik's band to play the late night show. And they tore it up!

So once again, thanks to all our guests and all our fans, happy Jazzfest! Check out our schedule on myspace.com/groovesect for upcoming dates.
