Some more info on Fred!

One of the music world's most-sampled artists thanks to his work with the Godfather of Soul James Brown, Fred Wesley is one of the key architects of funk music. Born in Mobile, Ala., he began his professional career as a teenage trombonist with Ike and Tina Turner. He was music director, arranger, trombonist and a primary composer for James Brown from 1968-1975, then arranged and played for Parliament-Funkadelic and Bootsy’s Rubber Band. He has played with and arranged for a wide variety of other artists including Ray Charles, Pancho Sanchez, New York Voices, Slide Hampton, Van Morrison, the SOS Band and Cameo, to name a few. Scores of other artists including Janet Jackson ("That's the Way Love Goes") and Nas ("Nastradamus") have sampled his work. After a stint with the Count Basie Orchestra, he's nurtured a devotion to jazz – playing, recording, writing and promoting it. His solo jazz recordings include “To Someone,” “Amalgamation,” “Comme Ci Comme Ca,” “Full Circle” and “Wuda Cuda Shuda.” In Japan, FUJIPACIFICMUSIC and Columbia Music entertainment just released his latest excursion back into the funk, "Funk For Your Ass," and the remix album "The Godfather of Soul Train."Make it Funky

Some more info on Leo!

Known throughout the music industry as the "funkiest, fast-fingered" guitarist there is, a musician who can control your mind, body and soul with his experience, superior talent, musical mastery and inimitable style, he is LEO NOCENTELLI.

Leo is the lead guitarist, composer, innovator and the musical originator of the syncopated funk-style that won international acclaim for him and the band known as the "Pioneers of Funk", The Meters, the Grammy's 2001 Lifetime Achievement Award Winners.

In the two decades plus, Leo's sound and styles, ranging from Funk, Blues, Jazz, Hip-hop, Rap to Rock, have added to the creation of his own unique brand of blazing musicianship. He has accompanied and collaborated with artists as varied as his style.

As the sole writer of such hits as (to name a few) of Cissy Strut, Look A Py Py, Same Ol' Thing, Rigor Mortis, Funky Miracle, 9 to 5, Ease Back, Lonesome and unwanted People, The World Is A Little Bit Under The Weather, and Cordova (and at times generously sharing credits with a vehicle he called The Meters), Nocentelli gained early recognition amongst his peers.
